My sorority sister and I have taken on the responsibility of organizing our 2010 Spring Semi-formal and we are do excited. After only about ten minutes of deliberation we came to the decision of making it themed. Here are a couple of themes we came up with: Asian, Superhero, Moroccan, and Masquerade. The rest of our sisters felt this was a wonderful idea. Everyone was all for it and excited until we threw at them that we intend for the party to be free for all sisters. What? Now this is when everyone flipped. "What? How are we going to fund it?" "How are we going to bring in any money?" Blah blah blah and more blah. I never heard of someone getting upset because something was free. Never.
Because of all the grief that we received for having a free party, we decided that we refused to fail at this task. Now it has nothing to do with helping everyone out, and everything to do with showing people that we are able to do anything we say we can do. This semi-formal is going to be the best one we have ever had and I cannot wait to rub it in everyone's face, with sisterly love of course.
